Equality Utah continues to push our legal rights forward. In 2017 we overturned a “No Promo Homo” law that restricted discussion of LGBTQ issues in public schools. In 2019 we worked to successfully pass an LGBTQ-inclusive Hate Crimes Law. Through the years, we’ve also successfully blocked legislation that would harm our community. We have a bold track record now of achieving what many observers have argued would be impossible in Utah. There is more to come!
